General Membership Meeting Minutes – January 21, 2009

Call to Order
In Attendance: Julia Parker, Lori Morrow, Laura Phipps, Theresa Neumann, Dana Lindquist, Anita Rasset, Heather Whalen, Pat Strickling, Anneke DiSpigno, Lynn Bennett. Minutes from November 19th general membership meeting distributed; motion to approve minutes by Dana Lindquist.

Treasurer’s report: Julia Parker distributed financials as of 1/31/09. Avid issues are dealt with, and the audit is complete.

Principal’s report Not in attendance.

Committees:
Book Fair Pat S. has fair arriving on the 5th, and leaving the 11th.

Silent Auction Pat reported is June 10th with Stacey Maholick chairing.

8th Grade Celebration Julia is chairing. Anita Food. Need volunteers.

Old Business:
February Staff Appreciation Went well, but Anneke said it conflicted with a staff breakfast event. Next staff appreciation: Tuesday, March 24th.

School Pics Anneke is checking into our position with Donettes Kickback program.

New Business:
New School Pat says colors are Carolina blue, silver and white.

Challenge Run Walk Needs a coordinator!

Name Tags Laura Phipps has made and will make for anyone, nametags on a string for volunteers to use in order for us to be easily identified.

Birchwood Community Fun Night Representative explained goals of community and asked for future PTSA participation.

Next meeting March 18th, Weds in Shuksan MS library 7pm
