General Membership Meeting Minutes – May 20th, 2009

Call to Order

In Attendance: Julia Parker, Lori Morrow, Dana Lindquist, Heather Whalen, Pat Strickling, Stacey Maholick, Anneke DiSpigno, Lynn Bennett, Melanie Ottley, Andrew Mark.

Minutes from April 22nd general membership meeting distributed; motion to approve minutes by Andrew Mark.

Treasurer’s report Julia Parker reported Not much activity, will change quite a bit by end of the year; 7th grade Seattle trips, Staff Appreciation, staff allotments.

Principal’s report ASB will be handling all sports next year!

Committees

Silent Auction Stacey Maholick is collecting donations, and volunteers to collect donations. Pizza Pipeline is giving us a deal at $4 bucks a pizza. Event is coming along.

8th Grade Celebration Julia has servers, needs baked treats!!

Challenge Run Walk Dana Lindquist reported will occur on the 13th and is going well. Need lots of parent helpers!

Paver Project Heather Whalen reported it is moving forward; looks like a go!

Nominating Committee Need president!! Will have to fold PTSA without one.

2009-2010 PTSA Budget Julia Parker reported would be finalized after 8th grade Tea. Some changes were the reintroduction of a budget for assemblies, reduction in Mr. Marks budget, eliminated PAWS for success, otherwise in keeping with adjustments made to need this year.

Old Business

Staff Appreciation Final weeklong 2nd week of May was great!!

Next meeting Small quick one for budget on the 17th after the tea.
