About Me:

I was born in Anchorage, Alaska but I have moved around since I was about eight years old, living in a total of 5 states (Alaska, Virginia, Maryland, Idaho, and Washington) since then. I have lived in Bellingham for 9 years now, and I’m happy to call it home! I am married with two beautiful children, Madelyn (6) and Charlie (21 mos.), and we are the proud owners of 2 guinea pigs and lots of fish.

My family is very large and spread across the USA… I have siblings that live in Alaska, Washington, South Carolina, and California. I have 5 brothers and 4 sisters, and I am officially the middle child of the bunch!

My educational background also spans a little bit across the country. I went to high school in a little town called Walkersville in Maryland, went to college in Idaho for a couple of years, and finished my Bachelor Degree and Certification at Western Washington University. I have a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a Computer Science Emphasis and my endorsement for teaching for secondary mathematics.

Outside of school, I enjoy many of the outdoors sports offered here in the northwest, including snowboarding, hiking, camping, wake boarding, and boating. I also enjoy spending time with my family and traveling every time we get the chance.
